Own product — a beat maker you type
WAV JPG
wavjpg.com is a beat maker you type. WAV JPG is our own music project, and its site is the instrument: write a drum grid in plain text — kick x . . . x . . . — press run, and the browser plays it, every step lighting up as it hits. Loop mode or a full song arrangement, our own synthesized 808-style kit, recording to wav, share links, and a small community feed where you claim a name with a passcode — no account, no e-mail, no upload. We designed the notation, wrote the compiler that turns it into patterns for the open-source Strudel engine, and run it all on a zero-dependency Node server. Design, sound and code are ours: the kind of build most agencies won’t touch.
What this project included
- Design & build — a design made for this business, then built by hand — no theme, no page builder. Fast on every phone, editable by the client, on their own domain and hosting.
- Brand & graphics — logo, colours and type that work on a screen, a shop front and a van, with a short guide so the next flyer still looks like the brand.
